Powerful discrete 2-channel amplifier

The DRA-800H Hi-Fi Network Receiver is designed specifically to meet the needs of your 2-channel system. The DRA-800H has a discrete power amplifier construction, a symmetrical design and a generously dimensioned transformer. It provides an output of 145W per channel (into 6 ohms) and can easily drive floorstanding speakers adequately. Thanks to the Auto ECO mode, power consumption can be reduced without sacrificing performance.

Excellent sound technology

Denon's sound engineers use carefully selected hi-fi components, including resistors and capacitors made to Denon's specifications, to optimise the receiver's sound. Building on Denon's award-winning amplifiers, the DRA-800H features a balanced design, double-differential arrangement of the D/A converter channels and analogue preamplifier circuitry that is not distracted by the power supply. The discrete circuits with short, direct signal paths between the power supply, signal and amplification ensure detailed and precise imaging with your speakers.

Advanced HDMI video section

All five HDMI inputs - and one HDMI output - support 60Hz 4K Ultra HD video, Pure Color 4:4:4 subsampling, HDR10 (High Dynamic Range), HLG (Hybrid Log Gamma), ARC, 3D and BT.2020 passthrough for outstanding colour quality, clarity and contrast. HDCP 2.3 processing is available on all HDMI connections, so you can enjoy copy-protected content without restriction. Audio Return Channel (ARC) supports direct audio forwarding from the TV to the receiver via an HDMI connection.

Hi-Res Audio support

Discover the incredible fidelity of high-resolution audio files and enjoy music as the artist conceived it. The DRA-800H with AKM 32-bit D/A converters features high-resolution audio decoding for multiple lossless file formats, including ALAC, FLAC and WAV at up to 24-bit/196-kHz. It is also compatible with 2.8/5.6 MHz DSD files (DSD is the audio encoding format of SACD). Play them from storage media via the front panel USB interface or network sources. The DRA-800H also supports other file types such as MP3 and WMA.

Speaker A/B and Zone 2 preamp output

Connect 2 pairs of speakers for an A/B configuration. Or expand your system in a second room and listen to a different source, thanks to the Zone 2 preamp outputs.

Integrated phono input

The DRA-800H's phono input lets you connect a turntable and enjoy your vinyl collection in superb audio quality.

Dual DAC differential circuit

The DRA-800H uses two complete 32-bit D/A converter channels per physical channel. This double-differential arrangement significantly improves both signal-to-noise ratio and dynamic range on the left, right and subwoofer channels compared to conventional conversion.

Amazon Alexa voice control

Control your DRA-800H conveniently with your voice via Amazon Alexa. Adjust volume, skip to the next track, switch media player inputs and more - "Just ask". To use Amazon Alexa voice control on the DRA-800H, HEOS devices and other select Denon products, download HEOS Home Entertainment Skill. The Alexa app and an Amazon Echo or Echo Dot are required.

Google Assistant voice control

Start the music in the HEOS app and ask your Google Assistant to adjust the volume, play, pause songs, skip tracks and more (German planned for 2019).

Stream music from virtually unlimited music sources via Apple AirPlay 2, Bluetooth or built-in HEOS technology.
