	The best-selling accessory, the vegetable slicer 5KSMVSA, a real pro when it comes to grating the large variety of vegetables, such as peppers, cucumbers and other types of vegetables for a delicious fitness salad or cutting sweet fruit, such as apples for a delicious apple pie. But not only carrots and co. can be processed with the vegetable slicer, but also cheese for a delicious gratin, nuts for snacking and chocolate for baking. This useful everyday accessory comes with a housing and a two-part darner, as well as three drums: The two-part tamper is extremely practical for both large and small ingredients, as the large opening is best suited for large pieces of vegetables and the small tamper can also assist with thin celery, allowing for residue-free processing. With this model, you can easily and simply change the drum at the touch of a button, thanks to the quick-change device, without any further effort, so you don't have to dismantle the entire vegetable slicer from the food processor. The round, transparent design means you always have a perfect view and the round shape also makes the vegetable slicer easier to clean. All in all, a round thing!
Which drum is used for what? Cutting drum:- Slices for potato gratin or vegetable chips - For various cabbage salads e.g. white cabbage or red cabbage to boil down for red cabbage - Onion rings or cucumber slices for salads - Mushrooms for the pizza Coarse rasp drum (6mm):- Raw vegetable salads (if it may be coarser) - Cheese for a savoury casserole - Grind nuts or also process courgettes Medium coarse rasp drum (4mm):- Raw vegetable salads (if you want something more delicate) - Chocolate for baking - Pesto, Hummus - Fine cheese flakes - Process nuts a little finer, but not as finely as if you were grinding them or grating them very finely. There are also 3 additional drums for the vegetable slicer.
	Material and cleaning The housing is made of plastic, but it must only be cleaned by hand, as the receptacle is made of metal but not stainless steel and would turn black in the dishwasher. Attention! Should the housing nevertheless end up in the dishwasher, this is not a reason for complaint on the part of the manufacturer KitchenAid and therefore cannot be treated as a warranty case! The two-piece stopper (approx. 6cm and 3.5cm) is dishwasher-safe, but we recommend cleaning it by hand as well, as the plastic can become blind due to harsh cleaning agents and high temperatures in the dishwasher and this is not a reason for complaint, according to the manufacturer. The cutting surface of the drums is made of stainless steel and the rim of plastic and is therefore dishwasher-safe, but the dishwasher can dull the sharpness of the drums so that a good cutting result is no longer achieved. We therefore recommend that the drums are also cleaned with hot water and a mild detergent.
